Cat toy - temperature dropped 3-6 degrees and not stable - junk

I've been using makeshift handguns at work for years. Thought I'd give it a try at home because I've never had one that wasn't at least decent in terms of stability and the right temperature. Even if they were off by a degree or two, you knew what it was. This does not provide stable and accurate readings. The website says it's accurate to 1.5 degrees Celsius, but that translates to what the instructions say - 2.7 degrees Fahrenheit! But compared to the known temperatures of an accurate thermometer, the readings don't even come close to that wide range. Deviations almost always at least 3 degrees, but often up to 6+. Worse (if it could be), the readings are jumping all over the place. Aim at the exact same spot and the temperature will go from 73 to 77, then 72 and back to 78 in 10 seconds. You can treat it like a child's toy or trash. Or just use it to let your cat chase the red dot around the room.

Pros
  • test for a year
Cons
