Arrived this afternoon and am very impressed. It's very cheap and fairly accurate to about +/- 1 degree. Also comes with batteries which are always nice to have even if they don't last long. Excellent! I bought this specifically to check the temperature of my sausage before loading in concentrates. It is also good for checking the room temperature. Checking human body temperature doesn't really work (if you're looking for something similar due to COVID). It's definitely as accurate as it gets. This is the smallest and lightest infrared thermometer I could find. It works amazingly easy! I use this for 2 main reasons: 1. I like to fry food so it's perfect for a quick frying oil reading. I use cannabis and this gives me a near perfect reading for my swab setup. Not only is it easy to use, but it also requires 2 AAA batteries instead of 9 volts, so it should be cheaper to maintain with rechargeable batteries. Just note that you need to hold the laser beam right up to your ear or place it about 6 inches under your tongue. Or under the arm.
