Not very impressed with this can opener. I wanted a can opener with a magnetic lid closure, so I tried this one. More often than not, this opener has trouble just poking through the side of the lid to even get started. Frustrated having to try multiple times. The magnet is on the bottom and will not "automatically" lift the lid, you need to remove the opener and then press the magnet against the lid to hook it. Often he didn't even lift the lid himself. Also, the sprockets on one side of the gearbox are clearly rusting after just a few months of use, which is pretty sad. I got rid of that and ordered an oxo with a lid, which was the first thing I had to do!
