Review on Funn Ripper Mountain Bike Clipless Pedal Set: Rocker Clip Mechanism, SPD Compatible, 9/16-inch CrMo Axle - The Ultimate Cycling Upgrade by Josh Cooper

I use mountain bike shoes, not cross country shoes, so the shoes are large and flat and the fasteners are securely embedded in the shoes. But the shoes are great, now I understand the problem was in my old SPD pedals. The hardest part was finding the clips to snap them into place. Also, the original pedals were single-sided (I won't do that again). It would have taken me too long to find the clips and my buddies were way ahead of the trail already. I was looking for something lighter to snap into. Enter the Funn Ripper pedals. Wow. It's like a magnet compared to my old pedals. After struggling to secure old pedals, the Rippers snap on almost instantly every time. They also feel a lot firmer than the old pedals, probably due to the mechanism as well as the grip pins (I only installed the front pins which are great for my shoes). This may be the best mountain bike purchase I've ever made. .
