They are still pretty even at 8g I bought them for a conch piercing. They have an interesting feature: maybe they're just smaller, but the washers on the back of these connectors "click" quietly if you tighten the screw hard enough. This is genius! I can't tell you how many screw mounts I've lost just because they worked loose and fell off a piece of jewelry, which is pretty frustrating. I was so pleased to find that they have this feature and I no longer have to worry about losing the liner or connector.
