Recently got 2 guinea pigs for kids. Holy smokers, they're dirty! They poop and pee A LOT. My first piece of advice to you is don't use guinea pigs. But if you do, these mats work very well. I got tired of cleaning all the paper sheets very quickly. These rugs are much easier to manage, just take them outside, shake them out and throw them in the wash. They seem durable but I only washed delicate items to keep them intact. They come in packs of two but I would get a few more so you can rotate and not wash every day.
