Review on Diwhy Industrial Bookcase Shelving Bookshelf by Heather Martin

Looks decent, quality varies

Looks very similar to picture. I ordered two units and the quality varied significantly between them - the shade of the stain was the same but not exactly the same between them. The tubes are of fairly poor quality and don't always screw together perfectly, making it difficult to align the shelves and keeping them from looking weird. At first I liked the design because you only have to drive screws into the wall at one point, not at the end. Most of these tubular frames have flanges on each frame. However, I am reconsidering this idea. maybe it's the quality of the pipe fittings, but the shelves aren't very stable and can still use the connection to the wall at at least one point. EDIT: How to make the shelves as level and stable as possible. Begin by threading all the couplings onto the pipe segments until they are as tight as possible. Then place them with one side on a flat surface and arrange them lengthwise. Then connect tubes of the same length as you assemble the entire shelf, taking turns a bit if you can't get perfect pairs.

Pros
  • High test results for hold and durability
Cons
  • Embarrassing
