Apple continues to disappoint with its latest product releases. The theme seems to be "change for the sake of change". And in many cases, the change crowds out features that Apple has implemented so beautifully, resulting in a diminished user experience. However, I feel like a spoiled child. Even downsized in many ways, it's still a very acceptable device. Anyway, let's get to the pros and cons: Pros: The device is lightweight, has a great display, and is responsive. Wi-Fi is significantly more powerful on this model. The battery lasts a bit longer (about an hour) than my 2018 iPad Air 2. And the fingerprint scanner (awfully fast) works out of the box. I've noticed that the sound has been significantly improved over previous versions. Cons: The fingerprint scanner has been moved to the top corner, presumably to make the display bigger. Placing the reader in the corner affects the software's UI, resulting in endless negative-value changes and a significant reduction in the quality of user experience (IMO). Apple needs to realize that they need to build or buy in-screen fingerprint recognition technology. Tragic design decision. The camera is a huge bump on the back of the iPad. You just can't put it on a hard, flat surface. Tests are already showing damage to my iPad due to this idiotic design. When you buy it, please buy a case before you unpack it. Considering nobody uses this port for anything other than charging, this is a perfect example of Apple's "change for change's sake". A silly negative value change for multiple Apple product owners. Theme brought back to iPhone 5. Blocky corners. Aesthetics don't really bother me. But I find it funny that Apple is going back to the old, uglier design styles. The new iPad Air is definitely different. It's still an iPad and probably the best tablet ever made. Yes, the iPad is like pizza. Even if it's bad, it's still pretty good. But if I could turn back time I would buy a regular iPad. Because Apple has the perfect iPad. There was no need for embarrassing changes just for the sake of change. I will try to return this Air and buy a regular iPad. It's a cheaper and frankly much better device. Maybe,
