I like the blade locking mechanism. My old Stanley wing nut often gets in the way and I can never tighten it enough to actually secure the blade. The Shinwa blade is made of forged steel and is not machined. So the edges of the blades have burrs from stamping and are not quite perpendicular to the surface of the blade. This may not be a problem for a building frame, but it can be a problem for precision woodworking or machining. For the price it should have machine ground or milled edges. I'll stone and grind the edges. As mentioned, the blade slot is too wide and sloppy, but it can be improved to make it work well.
