Review on Cold Air Intake Kit Performance Performance Parts & Accessories ~ Emission System by Michael Willis

Okay, before you read on, here's an introduction. I am from Singapore traveling in tropical and rainy weather. Driving a Civic 96 Ek3 VTI (JDM). When the product first arrived I thought the tubes were too long and I would have trouble installing them. After reading the instructions, I calmed down. I took it to my mechanic to have it installed and after some discussion we settled on the short piston version (which means removing the cold intake pipe that connects to the right tire). Danger of destroying the water-filled air filter. So pay special attention to buyers in more tropical and rainy countries. Once installed, it felt like the pickup was fairly smooth, not as viscous as in the past. The WOW factor didn't kick in until the night the traffic cleared and I decided to turn off the gas. To my surprise I reached 160 km/h so easily compared to before and the feeling was so exhilarating and I was just amazed how just 1 air filter can make such a big difference. Also, the mid-size pickup is much faster and smoother than the standard from 60 km/h, which feels punchy and the engine feels much more powerful. I'm using a Supersprint exhaust which is pretty loud so I can't tell the additional difference in sound. But it's a pity that it was impossible to use a cold air intake pipe. It might be even better. But now I'm very satisfied and can't wait to try it on for more distance. Fantastic purchase. Costs money.
