Review on 🌺 J Slips Boys' Hawaiian Jesus Sandals in Sandals - Variety of Colors by Brock Chisholm

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Fantastic and flexible. Updated

UPDATE: I'm literally SO upset. All the people complaining that these shoes are too tight screwed us all! (PS my feet are never considered narrow) I thought I found my perfect sandals. I thought I would carry her to the grave. Unfortunately I have to look further as the changes these shoes have undergone in 2 years have (IMO) ruined them. The shape of the shoes has changed a lot. Now instead of the W8/M7 I originally bought in 2017, it's the W8/M6.5. Overall, the shoe is slightly smaller and has a different shape (note the curve at the front of the shoe near the toe). I bought the same size and color both times so you can see the differences in my pictures. Although I will say that the color was comparable before (before I stomped the original shoes into the ground lol). The problem with the shape is also in the straps! I measured and now the straps are about 1/8 inch further apart. This may not bother most, but it doesn't fit my foot and is a big problem for me. The straps also need to be bigger because I can fit my whole leg (as you can see in my pics). I pushed my foot forward in both shoes as much as possible and the new ones are WAY big. It scares me and makes me think of stability. I imagine it will be very difficult to walk in these shoes without slipping (a feature that once helped me with caving - see original review). She's not as "toned and toned" as she used to be. The other problem is that they are not as flexible as I claimed the first pair 😭 is one of the main reasons I like them so much. I guess for the price I can't complain and maybe there are some redeeming qualities I've yet to find. I won't change my original 5 star rating for now (due to lack of testing) but I will come back to comment on the field performance. I prefer these. I recently returned from a trip to the Philippines. I brought 1 pair of running shoes (which I never wore) and 2 pairs of sandals including these. I wore ONLY these sandals! They were perfect for everything I needed. I thought I needed sneakers for some things, but honestly, you don't want to wear socks and shoes when it's so wet. It was great because it didn't matter if it was sand or mud, it was washed off immediately. In addition, they are so flexible that they adapt to the shape of the foot. So I got all the support I needed. And I walked A LOT. Needless to say they held up and I didn't get any blisters or anything! .just a stupid sandalwood tan from wearing it all the time. But seriously, I took her to caves and climbed about 1 mile on the slippery wet rock. back to the cave (this was no ordinary trip with steps and railings). But my guide was wearing classic vintage navy flip flops when he took us there! I thought, "What the hell?" ha ha. That's the culture and economy there. In any case, the sole is pleasantly soft. It's like they have air but be careful if water gets inside the shoes they squeak and make a cat-like noise. Funny and a little annoying, but nothing bad. Overall, I like the look and functionality of these things. They are cool!
