Review on Enhance Your Cycling Experience with Topeak BarXtender Handlebar Extender by Clint Mcloven

Revainrating 2 out of 5

B+ for the design concept, F minus for the performance

The screw that attaches the base to the handlebar or seatpost does not hold well and is hidden so it cannot be tightened without closing the main body of the device remove. Then you need to tighten another screw to secure the rest of the device and then another for positioning. As a result, it's far more tedious and difficult than any bike light or handlebar-mounted device I've ever used on a bike. So be prepared for at least a few tries before setting it up where you want it. And finally, there was no reason to design the attachment point the way they did. Additionally, the length of the handlebar is woefully short to be used as an alternative handlebar or longer rear mount. I also see that the smaller shiny metal bar is a weak point, so I believe other reviewers who said their bar broke at this point. This one returns.
