Globe Castro = Slip-On Perfection

Perfect Slip-Ons. When it comes to slip-on/lounge shoes, the Globe Castros is the KING. They are essentially laceless skateboarding shoes, so the durability expected in a shoe used for skating is present in a shoe likely to be used for 7-11 or lounging or whatever. Several reviewers have said and/or posted pictures of seams coming undone. For what it's worth, I haven't had this issue and am wearing my 10th pair (I wear them all the time). Something needs to be said about the ingeniously understated design. My Globe Castro fandom is clearly see-through, but these slip-ons are a work of art in the right colorway. Globe offers a variety of color options, but from an aesthetic (and subjective) point of view, black/charcoal and granite/khaki really stand out. I just wish the Globe had more black/charcoal and granite/khaki, you know, more muted color combinations than pinstripes or tweed. The problem for me is the size. I'm 12.5 in running shoes. There is about a half inch between my heel and the back of a size 13 Castro (much more than I would like) and I can't wear a size 12 Castro without experiencing pain. I reluctantly choose 13 but wish they would consider half sizes. To sum it up, I love the Globe Castro and I have 10 pairs to prove it (actually 2. The other 8 were used to death)! If you are looking for outdoor slippers, you have landed on the right page! Look no further!
