Review on Roadpower Tailgate Camera for Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra 1999-2006, Rear View Backup Camera Integrated in Tailgate Handle (Color: Black) by Troy Gerhardt

Called in 2005, they want the video quality back

Let's start with the installation first, it was MEH. Of course, my truck is 14 years old, the installation was a bit loose, I put extra double-sided tape to make sure it won't fall over. Second, the wiring was fine, a good length, the loom appreciated. to the camera. This part is for 1999-2006 (2007 Classic). The quality of the camera is DEFINITELY from the 1999-2006 period. What is that? 0.7 megapixels? I saw better quality video than this camera can take of a UFO and a big foot. I'm using a cheaper dual dcpa701 so wasn't expecting 4k HD clarity but it's terrible! You know, if you take a picture with your phone and then zoom in on EVERYTHING and then shake it underwater, that's the video quality. Potato has the best camera resolution. I thought there was something wrong with my camera, but no, it's spotlessly clean. Have you ever looked through a peephole? The pixels are bigger than Minecraft.

Pros
  • car security
Cons
  • boring packaging
