Bought for the front door of the apartment so people can dry their feet before entering. Worked well until the rainy season. Our porch is mostly covered, but when it rains obliquely, it comes down to the mat. When I live in California it doesn't even rain very hard, but all the water that dripped was immediately absorbed by the carpet. At first I liked it. But when I left the house (after a long stay at home. COVID. :p) I stepped onto the carpet only to find that it was very soft. With every step on the mat, all the water flowed out. Basically it looks like a sponge. Debris began to grow at the bottom due to the absorbency of the water. Now that it's warmer I just put it in the sun and turn it over to let it dry out and hopefully whatever grows with it dies.
