Cheap alternative to snowboarding

Not bad for the money. I put it in my Smith Camber snowboard helmet to listen to music while I cruise down the slopes. So far everything is working fine. Note that the speaker-compatible Smith helmet foam liners have a removable section to make room for the speakers. Where there is an extra cable port on the helmet, I enlarge it a bit and route the mic and controls through it. The controls allow you to easily skip tracks, pause music, increase and decrease volume (press and hold for 2 seconds), answer calls, and turn the device on and off. Taking a phone call in the mountains was a secondary goal as it can be an issue for cell phone reception in the middle of a slope, but it's a bonus at the summit where cell phone reception is better. I bought it because it was classified as waterproof. The sound quality is very good, on par with on-ear headphones. It's nice to hear Steely Dan carving or on the lift. Bluetooth signal is very good as I can leave my phone at home and go to the backyard to keep in touch. He starts over 50 feet and carving too many walls in the way. However, the description on the packaging and the description on Amazon do not match. IPX4 on the package while Amazon rates it as IPX7. I achieved this compared to other models due to the double 700mAh battery and 50 hours of talk time and 500 hours of standby. It seems overpriced but time will tell and it wasn't too expensive to start with. So far I am happy with this purchase.
