Review on ๐Ÿšฒ Colorbasket 02270: Stylish and Convenient Mesh Bottom Lift-Off Bike Basket with Handles by David Norwood

Rattles can be made smaller with slight modifications.

My wife asked for a basket for our daily trips to the city. I prefer the style of other classic baskets, but we have practical, boring hybrid bikes, so this basket seemed practical and matched the style of their bike. Installation on a hybrid bike was a breeze. I had to remove the front reflector and rearrange the bell. never mind The basket has a good volume and makes a robust impression. It was nice that this basket is attached to the handlebar frame at 3 points and not to the axle. Our bikes have suspension, so it is not possible to install a front axle. Some people complain that their basket fell off. I'm pretty sure there's no way for our bikes to shift during our city use. The 3 attachment points are very tight. Some complain that the basket rattles. Due to the nature of the basket detachment, there are multiple points of metal-to-metal movement that create rattling. The noise was like a cart in a parking lot. I took high quality 3M vinyl tape and wrapped it around where the basket moves on the metal mounting frame. Viola, the rattles are gone.
