Review on πŸ”§ Mopar Radiator 6814 3886AA by Drew Cage

Like the customer before me

Like the customer before me, this fits right in with the JK Wrangler. I recommend buying the plastic decorative button that is on Revain's "related products" list. it helped a lot. The real fun begins when you need to remove the four 8mm screws that attach the AC capacitor to the heatsink. Very time consuming and tedious if you don't have a dedicated 8mm oscillator and are left with a short open end wrench. Ask me how I know lol. To remove the AC capacitor hard leads, you MUST remove the horn as well. It's just a torx screw, so very easy. The final removal step, which nobody on the web mentions, is removing the three plastic pads under the front of the jeep. This is the "tray" that contains the radar. Oh yeah, and when you put in a new Mopar radiator, the plastic "sleeves" on the driver's side or trim pieces go back in horribly. I took a deep breath, pulling everything out. and began assembly by first attaching the AC capacitor to the new heatsink. It took some time. I only have three screws out of four. But still. it feels solid. Then align the entire newly connected block with the two 10mm holes again and fasten. This part was easy. The hoses, the airbox, the overflow tank are all a breeze. The tricky part is matching the AC unit to the heatsink. Much luck! If you have any questions, please write to me. Now that I've made it, I could probably make one in half the time!
