Fitting a downdraft hob with odd 5 outlets instead of 6 and there was absolutely no room to install an adapter. At first we built a box with a square section, but then the customer supplied a granite countertop. I ordered this air duct hose and when we reinstalled the hob we used this hose instead of the box. Works great, I don't know why hardware stores don't have 5" flex pipe. It is as strong as one would expect, reviews of its brittleness should not be taken for the nature of this product.
