If you've ever received a "free" thermal paste with a heatsink or all-in-one, you're already more or less familiar with the performance of thermal paste . Thermal Paste Kit HY-P13. In general, at 13.4 W/mK, it would be right in the middle of the crowded mid-range thermal compound market segment. It's also about the same price. However, all of this assumes that the advertised properties really correspond to the declared ones. I decided to experimentally test the HY-P13 on a tiny nuclear reactor known as my old RX590. I took it apart, reinstalled it with a HY-P13 and measured its performance with an Ethereum mining load. As far as I could tell, the performance was roughly comparable to the Kryonaut I had on the GPU before. With the same voltage, frequency and fan speed (I blocked all 3) I had the same constant temperature. Considering that the same test method previously was able to tell the difference between 8.5, 12 and 24 W/mK pastes, I call the HY-P13 close enough. If you're looking for the absolute best in thermal transfer performance, you won't find it here. However, it is a significant improvement over degraded paste or any TIM adhesive pad. So if you're on a budget or want to update materials with the lowest common denominator, this might be for you. The spread tool is good, but I didn't find it any more useful than the edge of an index card. Conditionally recommended
