Review on ๐Ÿšด Experience Easy Navigation with Garmin Edge 130, a Compact GPS Cycling Computer by Richard Payne

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Excellent Except GPS connection time

First time bought Edge 130 without cadence and speed sensors. The screen is very easy to read even in bright sunlight. I had 5 fields displayed - a large one for speed and 4 for other indicators - distance, elapsed time, heart rate, elevation. Also positive was the connection to the Garmin Connect app, long battery life - more than 12 hours I think. I've ridden it about 800km so far. Minus - GPS connects for a long time. I have to remember to turn on Edge at least 5 minutes before my trip. Using GPS alone to determine speed also has a large lag when slowing down or accelerating. I couldn't use the GPS speed for anything useful. I then bought a speed sensor - a huge difference. Very responsive and easy to install. After all, the Edge found the sensor immediately and quickly connected to my heart rate monitor. With a lag in the GPS connection as a negative star I would rate this a strong 4 stars.
