Review on πŸš€ Enhance Engine Performance with Delphi AF10135 Mass Air Flow Sensor by Charles You

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Works as intended in a 2009 Mazda Mazda3 2.0LF

I originally purchased this part to get rid of a Check Engine Light code (P0101, in case it's relevant to other readers, read below). While replacing the MAF sensor didn't solve my rough idle or clearing the CEL code, my car is approaching 200,000 miles and I was ready to put in a new sensor since cleaning a dirty MAF sensor only lasts a few thousand miles works before throwing another engine. code (as I read). My problem was solved by removing the intake hose from the throttle body and wiping the top and bottom of the throttle body with a soft cloth dampened with throttle body cleaner (use NOTHING else, they make a product specifically for this application and you should spray Never do that - or in the intake manifold!) This will allow the throttle plate to move freely in the throttle body again, so your idling will be smooth, but make sure you don't have the key stuck in the ignition when cleaning the plate or you'll ruin it the throttle position sensor and you will have more problems. Be sure to do your research if you want to clean the throttle body yourself (there are tons of videos on YouTube showing you how) and maybe save some money by visiting the shop. It only took me 30 minutes to clean the throttle body after an hour or two of research to make sure everything was done right. Installing the MAF sensor itself is a snap. Anyone could do it.
