Nearly perfect. Certainly close enough for horseshoes and atomic bombs. Thank you point zero!

This airbrush from PointZero is ideal for beginners or intermediate users. I've been using airbrushes for 10 years and this would be a great start for me. I started with a Paasche VL (T-shirt airbrush) and switched to a Thayer and Chandler Vega 2000. I liked the Vega better because I was looking for much finer lines with less pressure. I've used my Vega long enough to upgrade to the Iwata Custom Micron SB. It was a little better than Vega (find out), but since my skills weren't growing as fast as the quality of my tools, it was too early for this brush. live and learn After seeing the slight quality improvement from switching to Iwata, I got frustrated and switched to 3D animation. Yes, it's completely my fault. Every once in a while I needed to do some art (not just digital) and would take my Vega and have some fun (world of warcraft characters, little fantasy art, shading exercises) but after giving my VL to a friend I lost yours Vega . :( We adopted 2 girls and everything was collected and then lost. Later my wife liked to watch me work in real media so she gave me a Paasche Talon for my birthday and I immediately fell back on it. YAYY! it was " Not as light as the Vega, but it feels good and gives nice shades and lines. I used it for a while, but one day it got clogged and I couldn't do anything to clear it. God it sucks!, I thought about using my Iwata, but it was still such an expensive tool that I couldn't use it for everything, so I got the Aztec 2000. Really light, easy to change nozzles etc, except that the hoses/connectors were different than what I had.So I (dirt) said that and bought a cheap solid state airbrush from Revain - Master Airbrush® brand G233.It was cheap (not cheap) and I really didn't wi eder taken - been a while since i bought them it was definitely worth the money it worked well melted rough around the edges but what could i expect for $30. I bought this about a month ago and started laying with it - it was a good choice and I knew I'd rather have a set of about 6 brushes on a dispenser with different colors ready to use than tossing around a bunch of $art with another brush or two. When I saw a similar brush from PointZero I thought I should try it ($30? Of course!). I'm glad I did. The brush is similar to the Master I was talking about, its balance is a bit different and it's a bit silly in design. The front air regulator isn't what I really need, color control is important to me, but it's nice to know it's there. The lid of the gravity well is tight (doesn't fall off like the Master) and all the details are included. I managed to get nice thin lines and some wide shadows, his trigger felt a bit sticky but worked the way I wanted it to. I would give this one 5 stars but the weird way the valve gate works made me deduct a star for beginners. You need to keep it loose and locked when you reattach the end cap after removing the needle. It's easy for me to see and do, a beginner might have trouble getting started. And one more thing (compared to the Iwata Custom, wrongly): The trigger stop button on the cap (which can decrease needle travel to control how much paint you can spray) is very loose in fit - it feels itself could fall at any moment. Again, an unfair comparison to the $400+ Iwata, but the Custom's trigger stop handle looks like it's actually attached to the main body of the brush and won't fall off or come loose when you use it. I don't want to use Loctite (I'd like to be able to easily replace it), but if it were half as good as Iwata I wouldn't recommend anything else to anyone; professional or amateur. In summary, for those who do not airbrush professionally, this brush is more than worth a lot and works well for me. Don't expect the brush to make you better, and don't expect the "perfection" of expensive Iwatas, but I plan to buy 4 more. I liked it that much.
