Internal zip ruined Turn lock

The turn lock works very well. The ZIP plastic seal is not watertight, although it takes longer to level and "seal" it. The intention was to add a zip to the twist lock for a waterproof closure with belt and suspenders, but all they achieved was to mess up the simple and lightweight waterproof twist lock. A vinyl zipper is difficult to use when warm, but impossible to use when cold and the vinyl hardens. The zip sits right where the top zip is supposed to close, preventing the roll-top zip from locking. I spent a few minutes cutting out the clear vinyl zipper and was able to do it without cutting through the waterproof pocket. The sealing and ease of use is much better than before but not as good as my other waterproof roll top bags. Now I have two bags with sharp, ripped zipper remnants at the bottom where the screw top was supposed to be closed. Removing the zip was a definite improvement over the vinyl zip that always got in the way when loading and unloading the bag, which also prevented the top closure from working properly. Otherwise well-made roll-top bags at a reasonable price. This mess bothers me so much that I'm going to toss these bags on the goodwill donation pile and buy some waterproof roll top bags without the zip feature that ruins a good roll top. Pocket. They added a watertight seal that didn't work to a watertight seal so now the rolltop feature is only partially working. This is what happens when design is driven by marketing rather than technology.
