When two brilliant minds come together, brilliant things happen. Michael Dell founder of the computer company Dell and the successful fashion entrepreneur Susan Dell, created in 1999 the Michael & Susan Dell Foundation.
The Michael & Susan Dell Foundation is a philanthropic organization, whose main and only objective is to help society and reward people in need by sharing part of the profits from their multiple businesses.
They started in the state of Texas, the state where they reside, helping to minimize the health and education problems of children. Of course, they were not satisfied with that, so they began to expand their program and partnered with several organizations within the U.S. The foundation places special emphasis on helping youth and children living in urban poverty, improving their education, health and family economic stability.
Since 2010, the foundation has established offices in India and South Africa in addition to the existing U.S. office.
The foundation has several programs that include educational programs that encourage participating families to escape from poverty through access to high quality schools and appropriate technological tools for the development of human beings.
They also have health programs to bring wellness to low-income people in need. The foundation has created and maintains hospitals and health centers in the United States, India and South Africa.
They also have projects to ensure the economic stability of poor families who need their help, where they offer special training for the development of skills and then connect people with companies that can offer them a stable and well-paid job that allows them to get out of poverty and ensure their own welfare and that of the family as a whole.
