I was hesitating between this optic and the 85. I use the 85 and liked it but wanted it to appear a bit wider. 50 is a great mid, but you lose the aperture that 85 had (f2.8). This means I have to stop the lens one stop after 3.5 to get a sharper image. It's pretty soft at 3.5, but it's also an art lens. Composter II is definitely a step forward. The new metal rings are great and feel solid. Big improvement. I also bought the Twist 60 and it's pretty good for multiple shots.
