Ideal for wood planes, chisels and chisels

This sandpaper is great for lapping the soles of planes, smoothing the backs of planes and chisels, and smoothing Japanese waterstones like Kai. Japanese professional stone for sharpening knives. The photos show me mounting a strip of this sandpaper onto a piece of granite countertop (32" x 4" x 1.25"). Use it at your shop for sharpening. They may not charge you either. I prefer Granite strips vs flat glass - in the event of an accident, granite is easier to clean up. Strokes. By using longboard sandpaper you are set for a very long stroke. The job gets done faster and with fewer sandpaper changes. The fourth picture shows a Stanley #80 sc rapper I restored. The sole was flattened out in two minutes. A believable story. Lapping this sole was faster than spray painting. I like this long sandpaper method.
