Durability of Power Tool Parts and Accessories

This sandpaper has amazing durability for the price. I was expecting something close to the cheap buns sold on port charters, but they're noticeably better. I personally use it on a granite slab to sand down perfectly smooth parts. I've used it on wood and metal with great results. My only real complaint is that the adhesive leaves a significant residue. That's not a problem on granite. It can easily be removed with a little acetone. However, I would not stick it to my countertop and it willโ€ฆ

Good sandpaper for power finishing tool parts and accessories

I used this sandpaper as part of the finishing touches on our hardwood maple floors and red oak steps. I used machines for most of the work, but I had to hand sand some of the sides of the rooms, the corners of the rooms, and the steps. It was good sandpaper. I liked the fact that it's very sticky (adhesion is great, no adhesion issues at all), lasts long (even on maple floors, which is a very hard wood), and I like that the grain is the color of the wood. That way when the grit falls off itโ€ฆ

1/4 Roll of Paper - BAD Paper

I use this 600 grit paper for one of many steps in sharpening my knives to their final condition. I don't use a lot at a time, just bit by bit when I attach it to a flat block to sand down the bevels. I ordered in December and last night while sharpening a new blade I came across a part of the roll that had no sandpaper in it, it was crumpled and stuck together. They appear to have been tossed from one roll to another on the production line, but I just lost almost two feet of a roll as aโ€ฆ

Complete transition to this roll type sandpaper

Was doubtful trying it as I've only used dry backed sandpaper precut to length on my built in body sander. Very impressive! The glue is not too sticky, the sandpaper does not immediately tear on the tool ends and does not jam immediately. The old sandpaper that I thought I really liked was rubbish compared to this one. Easily cut to my preferred length and easier to store. I bought a few different grits and am very glad I bought this style. The only downside is if you drop the reel whileโ€ฆ

Ideal for wood planes, chisels and chisels

This sandpaper is great for lapping the soles of planes, smoothing the backs of planes and chisels, and smoothing Japanese waterstones like Kai. Japanese professional stone for sharpening knives. The photos show me mounting a strip of this sandpaper onto a piece of granite countertop (32" x 4" x 1.25"). Use it at your shop for sharpening. They may not charge you either. I prefer Granite strips vs flat glass - in the event of an accident, granite is easier to clean up. Strokes. By usingโ€ฆ
