Review on 🔧 Enhanced Dorman 615-188 Intake Manifold for Preferred Ford Models by Chris Drury

I installed this manifold on my 2000 F-150 5.4 Triton engine in October 2017. I wanted to drive the truck at least 2,000 miles before doing an inspection. Clean sealing surface and tighten as per diagram shown. This manifold comes with O-rings installed in the body of the new manifold. The traditional factory gaskets are not required for this installation. When you remove the old manifold there is a lot of dirt and debris around the intake ports. Make sure that no dirt gets into the inlet chambers. Place clean rags in the holes to keep dirt out. Have a vacuum nozzle handy to vacuum up dirt and debris. If you are also installing candles, blow out the candle cavities before pulling the candles out, as dirt and oil will get into the combustion chamber. Also, don't forget to install the o-ring on the "knee" of the vacuum line, which rotates and snaps into place with the manifold. While you're doing this job and have driven over 80,000 miles, it's best to replace other parts like spark plugs and fuel injector o-rings. The injector O-rings must be replaced individually. I also swapped individual sparks. Spark plug coils since I've driven it about 100,000 miles. At the same time, clean the throttle body with a throttle body cleaner.
