Well I guess you get what you pay for. This device has some nuances. I'm not a fan of chipboard and I'm not a fan of fastening the backs of bookshelves. I'd rather scoot my back to the bookshelf. You have to be very careful when inserting the nails into the backing or you will punch holes in the board. :( The back is literally chipboard glued together; really?! But when all is said and done, it serves the purpose. It just stores my kids' comics and knick-knacks so I don't feel like Godzilla anymore, stepping on small objects If you are careful with the placement of the nails and don't act like an angry giant when collecting them, everything will work fine.
