I have been skiing for over 35 years and have worn many gloves over the years. I bought these gloves to replace my main gloves. I always keep a spare pair in my backpack. On the first day of my ski trip in Colorado I fell into powder and had a lot of snow in my main gloves so I switched to these and couldn't believe how good they were. closed. They stayed warm and dry and are now my ski glove set. They stayed dry and warm for 3 days of snow skiing at 5-15 degrees. I usually wear large and ordered a pair of large which were a little tight but not a problem and very comfortable. My palm is just under 4 inches wide and the distance from the tip of my middle finger to my wrist (bottom of palm) is about 7.1 inches. /2 inches. I would say my fingers are average. The large ones fit a bit tighter than my other large gloves but I think that's due to the insulation and they felt really good.
