I was ready for anything when I unpacked and tested this microscope. But it turned out to work well; good image and light quality. Of course, a more expensive device has a more stable stand and support, but the presence of a large focus button on the front explains this to a large extent. Knife/instrument blade under the microscope instead of using a portable magnification class that requires you to adjust the distance and focus every time you use it.
