Review on ๐Ÿ”ช Gerber River Shorty Knife: Sleek Black Design for Optimum Performance [30-000967] by Kobby Cagle

Not quite a flow meter

Not good. It doesn't match the lash pull on my life jacket. Sure I could force it and distort the reed and my patience, but it won't fit the standard size reed on my Stohlquist PFD. And it doesn't look like it was designed for that. Isn't that what this knife is all about? It's not easy to sharpen, so it's really an emergency knife, not a utility knife, so it's useless if it doesn't fit on the tongue. under cheap shiny chrome. Seems strong enough, but the plastic sheath doesn't hold the knife in place and I'm not sure what type of strap or belt holds the sheath in place. The scabbard clip looks like it was made for a thick web belt but dangles on my PFD belts. I noticed that Gerber is owned by Fiskars and looks more like a Fiskars product than a Gerber knife. i give it back

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • There are problems
