Review on ⚙️ Adjustable 220V Control Regulator by HiLetgo by Jay Jeong

Revainrating 2 out of 5

This is a dimmer control (voltage regulator). This is not AC motor speed control.

This is a simple adjustable AC voltage regulator. A VR chip on a heatsink with a pair of capacitors and a potentiometer for power adjustment. Assembly is easy, but the parts cost the same. All it does is sink the AC voltage, and like the other negative review, you really need to adjust the frequency to control speed, not voltage. On my AC motor, which is similar to a bench grinder but on real medical equipment, I was able to achieve this. Results: I was able to reduce the maximum top speed by about 8%. Anything lower and the motor loses all power, stops turning and just hums while burning through the armature with the tight brush contact. However, I only had to slow down the speed a bit to smooth out the aggressive optical lens grinder, so for $5 I'll probably leave it installed. Make sure to adjust the little blue knob (in my case 11 full 360ft clockwise rotations). This allows full main stick travel to smoothly control only the top 8% of motor speed. However, even with this setup I would not allow an employee to operate this machine as without the appropriate knowledge/care he/she would certainly leave it alone. slow switching on and off, which leads to the burnout of the armature in stationary contact with the brushes when the current is on, and therefore to the failure of expensive equipment. .
