It really helped me. I have "luxury vinyl" floors (Pergo) that are supposed to look like wood but aren't. In any case, this pen is also excellent for covering up deep scratches. I cleaned the scratch with a microfiber cloth and then did as the instructions said and applied one coat at a time to the scratch and buffed between coats. It is clear that there will be no miracles. It doesn't heal the scratches completely, but hides them quite well. These floors scratch easily, so if you have them, this pen is a must. I love that you can stain/buff the color of the actual floor so it only settles where it needs to. I've used this on some pretty deep scratches and you can't even tell they were ever there. The first photo was taken when I started. I already filled out a small section before deciding to document it. In the second photo a layer on half so you can still see where the line is. In the last photo, the entire scratch is filled.
