Review on Enhanced Vision: Upland Optics Perception HD 10x42mm Hunting Binoculars by Anthony Cayton

Years ago I was thinking about buying cheap binoculars until I got my hands on a pair of Swarovski binoculars looked. And it was a religious experience. It turns out there's a big difference between "cheap glass" and "great glass". I recently purchased the Upland Perception 10x42 because I wanted an inexpensive extra low dispersion (ED) lens. And online optics experts give them impressive reviews. OPTICSDEN's "Best Binoculars on the Market" rating gives these binoculars a "#1 recommendation". And that's a comparison to the best binoculars in the world, including Zeiss, Leica and Swarovski. Of course, they take both cost and performance into account. But it shows that Upland binoculars are in the same quality category. Upland's HD Extra Low Dispersion (ED) glass is manufactured in Japan with components assembled in China. I have personally compared these binoculars to the Vortex Viper HD 10x42 and the Swarovski 10x42 and all three were impressive. I am an amateur photographer and have been shooting with professional lenses for almost 30 years. And I'm a little embarrassed to admit that I couldn't see a significant difference between the two. The big benefit of this is that you don't have to be afraid to get them wet or take them for a ride in a bouncy 4x4 while dust blows in the windows. When buying binoculars, pay attention to lens materials. You definitely need HD low dispersion glass. There's a big difference between mineral glass, which costs pennies a pound, and low-dispersion glass, which costs hundreds of dollars a pound. The Upland Perception binoculars are excellent. And I would recommend them to everyone. Much luck.
