CUTTING DISCS DO NOT CUT. At best, they make a recess on the workpiece. THEN YOU CAN USE THE STRAIGHT LINE TO GUIDE THE MARKING KNIFE TO CUT THE LINE. I tried sharpening the disc on the diamond plate. BOR WAS NEARLY IMPOSSIBLE TO REMOVE. UNTIL THE BORON WAS REMOVED, THE DISC WAS AS SEALED AS PRIOR TO WORKING WITH THE DIAMOND PLATES. I HAVE TRIED THEM ON PINE, ALDER, MAPLE, OAK AND CHERRY, NONE HAS A CUT LINE. SAVE YOUR MONEY BY SIMPLY USE THE MARKING KNIFE TO START.
