Review on 🐻 Thermal Grizzly Carbonaut 5102 by Troy Arnold

I just wasn't impressed. This is a good product but not great value for money, at least for me. IC Graphite delivers better prices at a lower price. In my tests, I use the product in a water-cooling circuit with a 360mm and a 240mm radiator, a GPU block with Titan X Pascal and an Ivy Bridge E-4930K CPU under the CPU block. IC Graphite easily keeps the GPU idle at 23-25*C and handles it with a delta temperature of 4-5*. That's 4-5* higher than my room. Carbonaut has a delta of 7-9* and idles between 27-29*C. In Destiny 2, IC Graphite was able to keep the GPU at 31-32°C while Carbonaut was around 36-39°C. In Black Desert Online, Graphite IC is around 37-40°C, while Carbonaut easily handles 55-57°C. To make sure it wasn't just user error, I applied and reapplied both products on my GPU, discharging the loop each time and recharging every few days while switching back and forth. IC Graphite just wins on all fronts for me. Your mileage may vary. I also ordered two of these because the first one broke as soon as I opened it. I believe there was a staple in the box to keep it closed, in addition to 5 pieces of silver ribbon. The product was not properly sealed in the box and misaligned enough to attach to the box. So when I removed the clip, the product ripped. How to explain this and ask for a refund. That explanation would be right where "my dog ate my homework." So I ordered another one and a low and there was no main product. As for the processor, my 4930K is now overclocked to 4.5GHz. I used to have a frequency of 4.6 GHz with a Graphite IC and under full load the CPU held about 60 ° C after about 15-20 minutes. In synthetic tests, the Carbonaut reached 63 ° C in seconds. In general, the product is not bad , but it doesn't outperform IC Graphite. It is fragile and tears easily (even without staples). I will do more testing but so far this is just a good product.
