Half of them broke on first use this winter

I bought to have spares on hand, opened the box and used it to tie a boat trap for the first time this winter. I have other brands that are 5 and 10 years old that are not broken. I've been using this strap on this boat for 15 years, I can only remember one of the two that broke in 15 years. I also use them on woodpiles. The problem is that there is no brand listed on them. I thought I'd buy the same brand as last time but you can tell it's a different brand from a different shape. Something went wrong with their batch or they have a bad recipe.
