Review on πŸ”„ Refurbished Garmin Instinct Graphite GPS Watch by Samantha Adams

Garmin Instinct is good for sports and wearable GPS

I've been using Garmin for a few years now. I started using Vivosmart just for smartphone notifications a few years ago. With running, I then switched to the Vivosmart HR. Vivosmart HR+ was next when I got serious about running and wanted a GPS feature. I've recently started hiking so I decided to give Instinct a try. To be honest, I didn't like it at first. I almost got it back. I was blown away by the switch from my three previous touchscreen Garmin models to the old-school Instinct buttons. It took me a while to get used to the buttons, short and long presses. I also didn't understand the importance of calibrating some functions. But the clock is not to blame. But I REALLY wanted to like this watch and my wife persuaded me to spend more time with it. I'm glad I kept it. After calibrating it (compass, barometer, altimeter, etc.) and getting used to the buttons instead of the touchscreen, I really liked it! It has so many great features for outdoor activities and hiking. I like the storm warning feature. It takes a bit of trial and error to get the sensitivity right, but once I get it right, it predicts weather changes surprisingly well. The altimeter was pretty accurate during my recent trip to Rocky Mountain National Park. I even had to use the TracBack feature when my family missed our fork in the road. In addition, it is very strong and durable, waterproof, meets military standards and looks good. I'm very glad I have Instinct.
