I had a little trouble fitting the cover. Before installing the cover, ensure that the hinges can be folded forward to close the cover. Mine came with both loops bent backwards. They seem to break when I use force to tip them forward. But I did it carefully and kept it at the bottom of the loop. After they can be in forward position then I installed the cover everything works great. The sound is good for a beginner sound engineer like me. looks are good. Very good product and price for those who just want to have fun. No idea why the cover was not installed. If it came with the lid installed, it doesn't seem to affect how it's packaged and shipped, but it does take away the confusion about the lid. I almost got it back. And I'm glad I didn't because of this tiny issue.
