Review on Runner Dirty Dog Doormat by Dog Gone Smart by David Lusk

I have 6 of these rugs and I really like them. I've had them for over a year and wash them several times a week due to the large number of active dogs. Even after numerous washes, the brown color has not faded. I recently ordered two more mats and was sooooo disappointed with the changes the manufacturer made. Carpets now have a rubber base and weigh much less. Also, they recommend DRYING the carpet! I contacted Dog Gone Smart support and was told that the rubber underlay was added due to complaints that the carpet was slippery. Yes, rugs can move, but placing a small piece of non-slip mat under the rug is enough. Although I don't know of any carpet that doesn't move when dogs play or walk on it. My thoughts. The rubber base wears out over time and starts to crumble because I don't have time to dry the mats so I'm sending them back. I hope the manufacturer comes to their senses and makes again the best rug ever made, with the same weight and no rubber backing! In the meantime, I'm scouring local shops for original quality rugs and buying up my supplies :)
