This product is worth the price because 1) it comes with a knife that looks like bread bamboo compatible materials and you don't have to look elsewhere and 2) the bamboo is good quality . In fact, I've been looking for an elegant wooden (not plastic) bread slicer from Revain and eBay for a long time and finally settled on this one. Also, I noticed that the bamboo may already have been well preserved to prevent moisture ingress. As a wood lover, I usually preserve all my wooden cutting boards with edible mineral oil. Looking at and touching the bamboo knife when it arrived I could feel the texture well prepared. The seller responded to my query very quickly, so that's a plus. If I have to suggest anything for improvement, I would say that the length of the blade needs to be increased a bit. This is because at the current length, the knife is a little awkward to hold, but the handle has been secured between the bars. I understand that the full length of the knife should match the length of the cutter, as if they were too long it wouldn't look nice either. I think the current board length is perfect - not too long, not too short. However, what could be mechanically improved is that as the length of the handle is shortened, the length of the blade is increased. And therefore easier cutting. Just an idea to improve the product. But this small detail is not a big problem. It still has its slicing feature if you're not picky like me. So overall I recommend this product.
