I like that they are from reliable sources and are larger in diameter. The general consensus is that they are also TSA approved, although I haven't tried it yet. I had to sand down the one I was using because it bit me and tangled/teared the yarn I was using. The cardboard nail file makes it possible. Have one ready. They're also a bit short so you can use them without feeling like you're going to drop your hook with every stitch. My hands aren't very big, but I'm always missing a pen. After all, they aren't properly labeled. Compare them to the hooks you know and rename them accordingly. I found some differences in my own hooks when I first started playing with them and found that not all of my old soldiers matched the labels as well. These types of bamboo did not fit into any of the listed sizes. After sanding and resizing, they're neat short hooks with a whole range of sizes. Good for little hands. Large hooks are great for students or thick yarn.
