I am pleased to report that this starter motor works and works well in my Briggs and Stratton mowers. The original failed after 15 years. The setup was a bit like PITA, but it really has nothing to do with the starter and everything to do with the engine. I've had it for about 2 months now and it starts the engine strong and fast.good product.especially for the price. .Local mower shops wanted to charge me over $100 for an aftermarket starter
