Review on 🚿 Moen AT2199 Replacement Shower Arm Flange: Universal Standard, Chrome Finish by Robert Johnson

Note the tabs

The chrome flange looks good but the picture and description doesn't show the 4 tabs protruding from the back of the center hole which appear to be used to center the flange on the shower head because the center hole is slightly larger than the shower head. I bought a Moen shower with this flange. The tabs will scratch the chrome when installed and will easily scratch it unless you are extremely careful and very slowly slide the flange down the lever. If you bend the stems back you still have a gap between the lever and the flange and then the stems are useless. Instead of ridges around the back of the center hole, there should be a gasket that won't damage the shower head when sliding and also seals the gap to keep moisture from seeping through. The outer edge of the flange can be sealed to prevent moisture ingress, but the gap around the center hole cannot be easily sealed after the flange is pressed against the wall.
