Review on Secure Your Gear with RotopaX RX-LOX-PM Pack Mount Lock by Scott Galloway

Purchased May 2020 so I've had just over a year with it. There is no visible rust and the car is garaged but has been exposed to rain and snow while driving/parking on the street. The key goes in but doesn't turn. I've tried several lock lubricants and rust removers with no success. Rust resistant metal or plastic coating could have made this lock better. This is actually my second RotoPax item that hasn't worked for me (a container that leaked the seal). Definitely recommend buying a stock bracket and repairing it using the aftermarket method. Mine is mounted on a roof rack so I'm going to use cable locks. Not as secure as RotoPax but at least I can use it when needed.
