Review on πŸ—οΈ 1 Gallon White EPDM Rubber Roof Coating - Dicor RPCRC1 by Andrew Lyons

Revainrating 4 out of 5

A good product. My 5th wheel roof was in bad shape.

Good product. The roof of my fifth wheel was in bad shape. Next to the house is a 12 year old caravan. Because of the heat of over 102 degrees, I worked two hours a day early in the morning for three days to clean the roof. On the 4th day I sprayed the cleaner activator with a new garden sprayer and washed it off under pressure after half an hour. There was still a lot of dirt on the roof. I ordered more activator and then used a small hand sprayer on all fours. I waited another half hour and pressure washed again. I'm a bit of a perfectionist and have never been satisfied with a clean roof. After the roof was dry I covered it again with three coats of gum. Due to the heat, the coating in the roller pan tried to dry leaving a few lumps (not many) on the roof. The roof is now brilliant white and looks like new except where I applied a small coating to the under cover of the air conditioner. One thing. Watch the Dicor video online, apply the plastic wrap to protect the sides of the trailer. The video doesn't warn you about the mess around the trailer that the old coating is causing. It also took hours to clean. Mind you, it was one hell of a job (I'm 73), not interesting at all, but it had to be done. Once I'm sure the roof is completely dry I'll cover it with a protective Dicor coating. My wife and I are heading to the Midwest in September so I'm hoping I got it right and she's holding up well.
