Review on ⏰ Bulova B1860 Vanderbilt Mantel Clock in Beautiful Warm Walnut Finish by Ronnie Saylor

Looks great and sounds great!

I've always liked clocks that chime the hour, but I insisted on "real" bells, be they chimes, chimes, or gongs, due to the poor "synthetic" quality of electronically generated bells, when they first became available several decades ago. . I tested the Buluva B 1680 very carefully before buying it and was surprised at how authentic it sounded. The quartz gong Harmonic II PLUS produces a very realistic sound. I don't give a damn about the cheesy melodies he plays, but I'm quite happy with Westminster or traditional percussion sounds. The volume slider offers a wide range of volume settings, and the night setting is great. In addition, they perfectly tell the time and have a beautiful classic mantel clock design! If there was one feature I'd add, it's this: you can't set it back an hour to revert from daylight saving time to standard time; You must advance and stop the hands 23 hours to chime every hour. It's a little painful, but only needed once a year. I like the swinging pendulum, although it seems to be moving much faster than the old-fashioned mechanical pendulum; I would prefer something slower. But overall I am very happy with my purchase.
