Review on 🚗 Lippert 281281 Bolt-On Shock Mount Kit 3" Axle 5.2K - 8K: Enhanced Suspension System for Smooth Ride by Terrence Castillo

These two items (shock absorber kits 281281) were to be fitted to my 2 axle motorhome, one set per axle, one shock absorber per wheel. One set was opened and the items in the box were packed free. Turns out the sender did this, not the carrier, as the other package contained the shock absorbers in a separate box that was unassembled. However, the parts were exactly as I ordered, so I fitted the brackets to the first axle and found that four rubber shock absorbers were missing from the package. I used the ones from the other package to complete the installation and proceeded to install the second set, expecting to replace the rubber isolators at the end of the job by purchasing them from an auto parts store. I removed the axle bridge on the second axle and noticed that the u-bolts on one of the kits (don't know which kit at this time) have shorter u-bolts than the other kit and the u-bolts are too short were to screw the bracket to the axle. Since I was in the middle of this job and didn't want to stop and leave my trailer in the driveway, I went out and bought four new U-bolts from my local truck spring service center so I could finish the job. Both kits were the same part number and appeared to be complete when received with the exception of the missing rubber bumpers. The right U-bolts were about 8 inches long, while the shorter ones were 7 inches. Replacement U-Bolts cost me $25 for all four and I used some of my own rubber bands from a previous project to complete the job. This confusion cost me time and money to complete what should have been an easy task. I will say that there was no packet of instructions in either set, but that didn't really bother me, I had my own idea of how to use the parts in each set, I just wanted the parts to be correct and that it was.
